Our Story

Founded by Melis and Sinan Savaş in 2021, Istanbul-based ProFondo Architecture designs and develops architecture and interior architecture projects in office, housing, qualified housing, café, store as well as maritime fields. ProFondo Architecture also provides application, application control and project management services.

Combining a user-oriented approach to design and application with a scientific and technological point of view, ProFondo Architecture realizes user expectations in a unique way with its experienced, young and dynamic team.

Considering architecture, interior architecture, landscape, lighting, electricity, mechanical, acoustic and related engineering sciences as a whole, ProFondo Architecture offers comprehensive and top-notch services with design coordination, business program control and project management between different disciplines.

Melis SAVAŞ (Interior Architect, M.A.)

Born in 1986 in Ankara, Melis SAVAŞ obtained her bachelor’s degree from Başkent University, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design and completed her master’s degree in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She worked as an apprentice of Behruz Çinici between 2009-2011, until his passing. She then continued her career at Tekeli-Sisa Architectural Partnership and KG Architecture, where she worked on a variety of architecture and interior architecture projects including Factory, Airport, Office, Hotel, Museum and Educational buildings. She continues to teach project and detail courses as a lecturer in different universities since 2018. Melis SAVAŞ is still working as the founding partner of ProFondo Architecture since 2021.

Sinan SAVAŞ (PhD.)

Born in 1986 in New York, USA, Sinan SAVAŞ completed his elementary and secondary school education in College Saint-Pierre in Brussels, and afterwards graduated as a francophone from Ankara Tevfik Fikret High School. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Başkent University in the field of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, he completed his master’s degree in Marmara Fine Arts University while continuing his professional career in Istanbul and then earned his PhD from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Having worked on various hotel, housing, hospital, store and office projects in addition to academic studies, he still continues his academic career as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture and Head of Department of Interior Architecture in Istanbul Okan University. Sinan SAVAŞ also continues his works as the founding partner of ProFondo Architecture since 2021.
